Hey my loves!
Something I’ve recently started doing is actually removing my makeup before bed. I know what you’re thinking. Oh my god how couldn’t you! Well I let my routine slip a little. I just became really lazy. It began to feel like a lot of effort doing every single night. It begins to feel like a chore. I know how bad that is for your skin so I’ve definitely upped my skincare game. It might feel like a chore but It’s so worth it to have good skin and better makeup application.
That was until I was sent these two products very kindly from Caudalie. They are the Makeup Removing cleansing Oil and the Gentle Buffing Cream. Together these two products are like a match made in heaven.
The Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil is my personal fave. I use this one first. Firstly I apply some to a cotton pad and remove my eye makeup. This may be gentle but it removes mascara so well without making my eyes feel sensitive. It’s also perfect for dry skin like my own so I then pop a little bit into my hands and massage all over my face. I then rinse with warm water and pat dry with a towel. It may be an oil but It’s not going to make your face feel mega slippery if you know what I mean? It really does an a lot of moisture back into my face rather than my usual wet wipes which are great especially the Nivea ones (read my review here) but I do prefer to use an oil.
The Gentle Buffing Cream did confuse me to begin with. I read the tube and was like, what on earth is buffing cream? I read about it on the back and then I understood a bit more. It’s basically a gentle scrub which is perfect for exfoliating dry skin. It’s super mild so is also perfect for those with more sensitive skin. It definatly leaves my skin feeling purified and fresh. I normally love a good hard scrub but this one works really well. It’s so vital to exfoliate to remove dead skin cells.
I then finish with my usual Nivea Night Cream. I’d definitely recommend these products. They both work so amazingly for dry skin especially.
Have you tried either of these?
