How To Gain Blog Exposure Naturally And Effectivly

Hey my loves,

So, I’ve been really wanting to write about something you guys would find helpful. The last few days I’ve been trying to work out what I could write that you would take something away and have learnt something or at least found helpful.

Then it came to me, why not write about how to get more exposure to your blog. Over 50% of my readers are fellow bloggers. I know first hand how hard it is to get your blog off the ground. In the last year I have had 25,000 views. When I first started blogging it was obviously way less. In nearly three years between going self hosted and having a free site I have had over 60,000 views. It might not be as many as others have had but for me it is a personal achievement and I couldn’t be more proud.

Don’t get me wrong, I know I’m not the best blogger in the world or have the most views. So in no way am I trying to say I know everything because I don’t. I’m just giving you my personal advice for you to take and try yourself to see if you get the same results.

  1. Social Media is your best friend. Share, share and share your blog posts.

Sharing to social media is key. The best thing I ever done was create an Instagram and Twitter account to promote my blog posts. Use hashtags on Insta, I make the most of having a limit and use as many as I can think of. I also tag BBloggers, and Blogging Gals on Twitter as well as Female Blogger RT. RT accounts are perfect for getting your posts out to a wider audience.

  2. Add photos to your posts

Adding photos to your posts is so vital, people love to see what they’re reading about. It also breaks up the content so people aren’t just reading because that can sometimes put readers off. I like to take photos in daylight which are nice and bright.

  3. Interact with other blogs

Supporting each other is key, this is something I have let slip lately because I’ve had a lot on. It is so important though. Read other bloggers posts, comment and interact with them. Commenting will also improve your SEO.

  4. Create content regularly

The one thing I notice when I stopped blogging regularly was that my views went right down, I wasn’t getting my blog out there enough and I guess people just don’t notice anymore. Creating a post at least once or twice a week can be so beneficial. I’ve learnt that.
  5. Join Facebook groups

I find Facebook groups so so helpful, I’m part of UK Bloggers, Official UK Bloggers and UK Blogger Opportunities. The first two are perfect for promoting your posts. Each time I write a post I share the link to the Facebook pages for others to read. The last page is perfect for finding sponsored, gifting and guest posts. Don’t ever feel ashamed for being gifted a product or being paid. Girl you’ve earned it! (That will be a different post though)

Hopefully you found these tips helpful!

A x

I have noticed myself that I haven’t really been getting many followers like I was. My problem is I don’t always feel like posting, even though I have some thought on what I’d like to blog about. I guess I have to get my motivation back. LOL!! 🙂

Really great advice, thank you! My blog is just under a month old and it’s been a challenge to get it off the ground, but defiantly interacting with the blogging community has been my top source of support.
Thank you for reminding us that it doesn’t happen overnight, and everyone starts near the bottom somewhere. 💕
