Hey my loves!
Hasn’t the weather here in the UK been lush lately? I’m just loving the sunshine. It may not be summer yet but it’s a beautiful spring. Although we are forecasted snow over easter. Just bloody brilliant.
Anyway, todays post. It’s a lifestyle one today for a change. It’s so strange having a triple niche. I blog about so many different things but I just love it. I don’t feel like you wanna just read post after post all about similar beauty products. Therefore I include fashion and lifestyle posts too.
It’s a dating related post again today. I absolutely love writing these, todays post is particularly important. I’m not sure whether you’ve heard about this. I know that until recently I didn’t have a clue that there was this thing called ‘Ask for Angela’ It’s basically a campaign that was launched last year to promote safer dates and to help get you out of those awkward situations you just don’t want to be in. If someone’s on a date which is going badly or where they’re not feeling comfortable they can go to the bar and simply ‘Ask for Angela’ The bar staff will then be alert to your situation and will call you a taxi and help you leave the building as discreetly as possible. No fuss, no awkward goodbyes where you just don’t know what to say.
I don’t know about you but I feel like this is so vital to modern day dating, we meet people we’ve spoke to for a short amount of time on apps such a Free Dating or Free Dating sites. Now Don’t get me wrong I think it’s simply amazing that we can meet loved ones and friends from the comfort of our own home on our mobile or computer. I think that’s something truly fantastic. We are a world that is up and coming with technology. Of course though, you just don’t know who you’re meeting or what they are really like in person. When you think about it, you know nothing about them. Hence it is vital to be safe in these kind of situations. That’s why I think Ask For Angela is such a great idea and will not only keep people safe but get them out of those awkward situations which let’s be honest. No one wants to be in. Gosh I wish this kind of thing existed in the past when I’ve had some real awkward dates that I wish I could have easily gotten out of. People aren’t always who they say they are, or they have a complete different personality and without trying to sound harsh you just simply don’t connect with.
I’m totally for this campaign and I think it should be implemented everywhere. Safety comes first and no one should have to feel awkward or like they want to leave but are too scared to. All I can say is Angela, you’re amazing!
