Hey my loves!
I’m currently writing this blog post on my train back home from London. I’m very tired and could easily fall asleep although writing this should keep me nice and busy.
So as you can tell by the title, I’ve been on a trip to the big city of London. Me being a country kinda gal means that I was literally like Babe, you know that little pig that went to the city? Haha! All jokes aside I had an absolutely fantastic time. There was a few minor mishaps. One being going on the wrong tube then having to get a bus to the station because there was no lift on the underground and my mums in a wheelchair. It took us over two hours! It’s safe to say that part got me a little stressed.
The main reason I went to London was because I had an interview with Look Magazine in partnership with Nivea. It was a competition I entered to win a 6 weeks internship. I cannot believe I was selected for an interview. That itself was a massive reward and high point In my blogging career. I can’t thank the guys at Look enough for the opportunity.
The Look HQ was amazing, it was everything I’ve ever dreamed of! I even got to look at the press room! The girls that interviewed me were so friendly and down to earth. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I was also given a Nivea goody bag and a look magazine. Expect a skincare review very soon!
Whilst in London I stayed at the Brittania International which was such a nice hotel. I usually stay in modern hotels so it was nice to stay on a more traditional hotel. It was so homely. The staff were so friendly, they went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best it could be.
Of course I did a little bit of retail therapy too, although we got super lost and had to ask a dozen people for directions. The only shop I actually bought something from was Zara. It was a gorgeous pair of trousers which were in the sale for £7.99. It was an absolute bargain! I do love a cheeky little sale find. Don’t you?
Overall I had an absolute blast and really enjoyed my little trip away. I’m going home feeling like I’ve gained a stone after two days of all you can eat breakfast and I definitely did eat as much as I could.
Have you ever been to London? What’s your fave thing to do there?
